This performance reimagines an oral variant of Little Red Riding Hood in which a bodily need becomes a means of escape. I play both the girl and the wolf, passing between them within a single body. A towering bed of satin mattresses, bound in red ribbon like a gift and suspended vertically from the ceiling, becomes the site of encounter, and a garden hose becomes both the means of escape and the instrument of release. The piece lingers in what the familiar story leaves out: appetite inside innocence, pleasure inside escape, and the uneasy place where the hunted and the hunter can no longer be told apart.
